Javier was first inspired to write when he he saw his first episode of the cartoon Doug. He continued his progress through middle school, attending Hollenbeck Magnet in Boyle Heights. Friday 6 o’clock pm! I’m about to meet up with a woman at 8 o’ clock at Bar Celona in Old Town Pasadena. I’ve been there plenty of times but never ordered anything from the tapas menu! Wait! Wait! I know who to call in a situation like this…The Glutster Javier Cabral! As soon as I told Javier “Cousin, what do you recommend?” Javier jumps right in before I can finish my sentence and says “the Padrono Peppers”. “That sounds spicy to me. My parents didn’t put Tapatio on my pacifier! I don’t eat anything spicy”. “Don’t worry, cousin! They’re mild. You’ll like ‘em”. And with that, I order a plate of the dozen and a half of those grilled green peppers. They were really good! Thanks for the recommendation and don’t forget about Z Sushi!
